I work in the Biomedical Engineering Lab at Arizona State University. I learned about OpenWetWare from my course instructor, Dr. Karmella Haynes, and I have joined because I am a BME Freshman who has registered for the ASU BME 100 course. I need to join OpenWetWare in order to complete the required collaborative lab reports for this class..

Research interests

Cellular Engineering
Those who specialize in cellular engineering focus on applying engineering principles and methods to the problems concerning cell and molecular biology. One area in which cellular engineering may be helpful is tackling the problems of disease and sickness by utilizing knowledge of biochemistry and cellular structures.

Biomaterials
The use of biomaterials can help replace or perform a natural biological function. Biomaterials may either be naturally-made or synthetically-made. Several other areas of knowledge are utilized with the study of biomaterials such as chemical engineering tactics, surface science, and molecular biology.
