Procedures

  • Synthesis of ZnPPIX
    • 1:1 molar ratio of Zinc nitrate hexahydrate to Dr Miller's porphyrin
    • Dissolve 0.0054g Zn nitrate and 0.0144g porphyrin in 5mL DMF
    • Take absorbance measurements every 20 minutes, making 100x dilutions
    • Continue heating until absorbance spectra stops changing (80 minutes)
