====Make Exchanged Clay Films====
*THP Bromide Exchanged Clay:
**Add 7mL of water to ~1.0 g PVA and ~0.11 g of THPB exchanged NaMT in a glass vial
**Stir the solution with constant heating at 75C until the polymer is dissolved and the clay is dispersed (~15 minutes)
**Cool the solution to room temperature
**Add 0.5mL 0.8 wt% glutaraldehyde.
**Stir for an additional 3 minutes to ensure homogeneity
**Pour solution into a teflon dish to dry until the next class
*Choline Chloride Exchanged Clay:
**Add 7mL of water to ~1.0 g PVA and ~0.11 g of CC exchanged NaMT in a glass vial
**See above
