Objective

  • Read plates
  • took florescence of the differ concentrations used with hydrogel pieces and determined the concentrations of dye attached

Description

1µL of Dye number of mols of dye

  • starting solution: 8.9E-7 mols
  • after soaking for 24hours with gel: 1.34E-9 mols
  • leached in water solution after 24 hours: 4.3919E-9 mols
    • 8.9E-7mols- 1.34E-7mols=8.88E-7mols of dye soaked up by gel in 24 hours
    • 8.88E-7mols - 4.3919E-9mols= 8.83E-7 mols of dye attached to the hydrogel actual
    • theoretical mols of attached:

10µL of Dye number of mols of dye

  • starting solution: 8.9E-8
  • after soaking for 24hours with gel: 8.8E-9 mols
  • leached in water solution after 24 hours: 3.86E-9
    • 8.9E-8 mols- 8.8E-9mols= 8.03E-8 mols of dye soaked up by gel in 24 hours
    • 8.03E-8mols - 3.86E-9mols= 7.64E-8 of dye attached to the hydrogel actual
    • theoretical mols of attached:
