I work in the [[Your Lab]] at XYZ University.  I learned about [[OpenWetWare]] from iGEM Team, and I've joined because I joined my school's iGEM team, and they make substantial use of OpenWetWare. I would like to be able to contribute to their background research efforts, etc..
