Current Position: Graduate student in BBS (Biological and Biomedical Sciences) program at Harvard Medical School

Research: My dissertation research focuses on mRNA metabolism, specifically at the stage of nuclear export. I am interested in identifying the complete complement of factors that is required for mRNA export in a metazoan organism, such as Drosophila. Additionally I am interested in understanding how the different stages in mRNA processing, including both nuclear and cytoplasmic, are coupled to the export step.
