- Stock Solution Prep
- Lysozyme Stock
- 50mL of 20μM Lysozyme Stock solution must be made
- 0.01417g of Lysozyme was added to a 50mL volumetric flask and dissolved in H2O
- This produced a stock of 19.81μM stock solution
- Gold Solution Stock
- This solution was made by Monika Gasiorek
- She added 0.08533g of HAuCl4 to a 100mL volumetric flask and dissolved in water
- Our group intends to use 20mL
- Preparation for AuNP and AuNP Fibers - Samples are mixed in a test tube, labeled and covered with aluminum foil.
- AuNP
- A 30:1 HAuCl4 to Lysozyme solution must be prepared
- 2.095mL of Lysozyme solution, 0.5mL of HAuCl4 solution, and 2.405mL H2O
- AuNP Fibers
- A 45:1 HAuCl4 to Lysozyme solution must be prepared
- 1.40mL of Lysozyme solution, 0.5mL of HAuCl4 solution, and 3.1mL H2O
- Synthesis of AuNP and AuNP Fibers
- Test tubes were placed into an oven and cooked for 4 hours
- Samples to be retrieved tomorrow
