I worked in the Ion Cyclotron Resonance department at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. I worked on a project that aimed to find the cause of deposition of a certain crude oil and its peculiar blue color. We analyzed its composition using high-resolution mass spectrometry. I examined the resulting data and developed a new way to graphically display the data in 3-D animated plots.

#Paper1 Using Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes to Detect RNS and ROS Levels in vivo (Working Paper, Essigmann Lab – 2012)
I worked in the Essignmann Lab in the Biological Engineering Deparment on a project that aimed to develop a non-invasive method of tracking and managing inflammation. We used single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) wrapped with DNA to detect nitric oxide (NO) in vivo but exploiting that fact that SWNTs fluoresce, but the fluorescence is quenched in the presence of NO.

I am currently working in the White Lab in the Koch Center. The project I am working on aims to determine how ERK activity affects histone modifications and in turn changes in RNA production.
