*1.) Add solids, PPF-18 (11.1 mg), bipyridine (1.776 mg), to small capped vial (PPF-27)
*2.) Add  N,N-diethyl formamide (DEF)(.8325 mL),Ethanol (0.2775 mL)
*3.) Swirled by hand to mix
*4.) Left to react at room temperature for 3 hours
*5.) Add solids, PPF-20 (9.95 mg), bipyridine (3.2 mg), to second small capped vial (PPF-4)
*6.) Add  N,N-diethyl formamide (DEF)(.75mL),Ethanol (0.25 mL)
*7.) Swirled by hand to mix
*8.) Left to react at room temperature for 3 hours
*9.) Vacuum filtration
10.) Powder X-Ray Diffraction (See images below)

PPF-4 and PPF-27

  • 2.) Add N,N-diethyl formamide (DEF)(.8325 mL),Ethanol (0.2775 mL)
  • 3.) Swirled by hand to mix
  • 4.) Left to react at room temperature for 3 hours
  • 5.) Add solids, PPF-20 (9.95 mg), bipyridine (3.2 mg), to second small capped vial (PPF-4)
  • 6.) Add N,N-diethyl formamide (DEF)(.75mL),Ethanol (0.25 mL)
