Unit 2 Dynamical System Behavior Classes

Dinamical systems can have one of different behavior classes:

  • Fixed point: xt+1 = xt for all t>T
  • Periodic Orbit (with period k): xt+k = xt for all t>T
  • Chaotic (random)
  • Complex behavior (particles).

Fixed Points and Periodic Orbits can be attractive or repellent. Complex are capable of performing computations and exhibit moving-interacting patterns called particles
