Objective

Synthesize Au nanoparticles

Description

  1. Create a 10 mL aqueous mixture of BSA (0.0015 - 0.015 mM) and HAuCl4 (0.25 - 1.0 mM)
  2. Place the mixture in a water thermostat bath at 80°C
  3. Measure the reaction progress every 30 minutes using a UV-vis Spectrometer with a wavelength range between 200 and 900 nm. The reaction should be at equilibrium when the peak at 550 nm reaches a maximum intensity.
