I want to learn more about the tethering process and what each component does. This way if something goes wrong it will be easier to troubleshoot then if I didn't know. I'm sure this will be an ongoing project.
Components and Properties
- anti-dig - needed for tethering
- PBS
- DNA - required for tethering
- microspheres - required for tethering
- BGB - thought to block surface and keep microspheres separated
- popping buffer - for use with enzymes primarily, but used for generic tethering
- EDTA - to sequester Mg++ ions
- NaCl
- Sodium Phosphate
- Tween
