Longer time MT observation

I'm curious about what happens to the motility when I observe it for longer times. So, I'm making a fresh batch of MTs and I'm going to observe a slide for as long as I can handle it.

Observations

<html> <object width="445" height="364"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/liMC7Os9Ph0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/liMC7Os9Ph0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object> </html>

So the above movie has something interesting. It has a rotating microtubule. On this microtubule I think it has a tail. This tail eventually breaks off the MT and keeps rotating while the rest of the MT moves away no problem.
