Well, today I tried to fix the adapter plate that mounts onto the IX2-ILL100 illumination arm for our IX71 microscope. I was able to get 3 screws in successfully after filing away at the holes I already drilled. This was a pain and yet another reason why closed companies are horrible. I also had to shave off 0.050" from the bottom of the plate because the illumination arm has a tilt to it that I didn't realize when I initially designed the plate.
