Isobutyl Alcohol, Tris, KCl, Mb

Reaction performed using standard procedures outlined in the entry on September 22, 2014. Reaction was done with 15 mg of lyophilized KCl + protein in Tris buffer dissolved in Isobutyl Alcohol.

TWO ADDITIONAL REACTIONS WERE PERFORMED

  • One identical reaction was carried out in a Falcon tube, and was allowed to rest undisturbed
  • Another reaction was set up with an identical setup, but the solution was periodically pipetted up and down (~ every 10 min) to evenly mix (to prevent the formation of a distinct clear layer and a distinct green layer)

To Do List:

  • Isobutyl Alcohol, no KCl, no protein
  • Isobutyl Alcohol, KCl in Tris
  • Isobutyl Alcohol, KCl+protein in Tris
