*I went to the lab to check on the mixture. This one was also a dark one, instead of the pale yellow I should get.

Desciption

  • I went to the lab to check on the mixture. This one was also a dark one, instead of the pale yellow I should get.
  • I put the mixture in a dark falcon tube
  • Added Na2S to both mixture (HgCl2 and HgNO3)+BSA

Procedure

  • 4mL of 20 mM Na2S
  • Stir for 15 mins till color changes to light brown

Data

  • The color changed from dark to brown for both mixtures, but not too light.
  • 10mL of 20mM Na2S
  • 0.01L*0.02Mol/L*240.18g/mol=0.048036g

---0.04799g were used.
