Personal Interests/Hobbies

• Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, I have a very strong basis in being in the outdoors. I am very involved in surfing, soccer, snowboarding, hiking and yoga. I have been raised to be very environmentally conscious so I love attending informative meetings and protests about the environment. I love photography and film, but I also love to disconnect from technology and enjoy the beauty of the world around us.
• I am part of Ignatians Service Organization, through which we do service at Guadalupe Homeless Project, Sunbridge Rehabilitation Center, 186th Elementary School, the Amanda Foundation Animal Shelter and beach cleanup.
• I just recently got an internship for this amazing, rising non-profit called OnePulse that bikes from California to New York in order to raise awareness about environmentalism. Favorite Aspects of Biomath

• Favorite Aspect of Biology: Biology encompasses everything we see around us. In contrast with math, biology is using the big picture and breaking it down into smaller pieces.
• Favorite Aspects of Math: Math is using the smaller pieces to read a big picture and having "the" answer for things. Numerical analysis is applicable to everything we gather information about and mathematicians are able to say something about it.
