Task for November 19

  • To measure MG absorbance by zeolite, over time

Measuring malachite absorbance by zeolite

  • Approximately 0.01 g zeolite were added to each scintillation vial.
  • 10 mL 20.97 ppm MG solution was added to each vial
  • The solutions were filtered at 15 and 30 min interval to characterise absorption kinetics
  • Filtration was used to remove all zeolite and stop the reaction.
  • UV-Vis measurements were taken between 200 and 800 nm.
