Synthesis of Analogs of Arylpyrrole Antimalarial Drug Leads This is an undergraduate report describing the synthesis towards analogs of the arylpyrroles, TCMDC 123812 and TCMDC 123794. Raw data in Lablog here
Open Source Drug Discovery for Malaria - Highly Potent Compounds Derived from the GSK Arylpyrrole Set - The first paper arising from the open source malaria project. This page is now old, and the real paper is going to be shared ASAP. The current status of the project itself is here.
Resolution of Praziquantel - this page is no longer being actively edited since it has been published.
Student-led Optimization of the Resolution of Praziquantel This paper is being written by students participating in the open project whose raw data are here.
Catalytic, Asymmetric Pictet-Spengler Reaction - A review of the area that is about 75% done and needs completing.
Asymmetric Hydrogenation of PZQ Enamide - Paper describing results on the synthetic approach to (R)-PZQ based on an asymmetric hydrogenation of a precursor enamide. Still being worked on, but needs a lot of writing work and some more screening.
The Lewis Acid-Catalysed Pictet-Spengler Formation of Substituted 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroisoquinolines - Undergraduate project working towards the Lewis Acid catalysed asymmetric Pictet-Spengler reaction. Related to the Pictet-Spengler route to PZQ. This report is finished, and very nicely written, but is not being actively edited.
Papers here are being assembled in the open. Those who make/have made substantial contributions to the projects will be named on the papers, which will be submitted for publication as soon as they're finished. Rules for how this should operate will be posted below but will be adapted from those already established for the Polymath Project
