| Tanja worked in the Hoatlin lab in 2002. She is currently running her own lab on Cardio Metabolic Research at Merck, where she enjoys creating a relatively low-stress environment. In addition, she is highly involved in a "new concept group", where she participates in discussing new ideas and potential targets which are then presented to senior management. She and her husband Stefan (who is also a scientist) reside in Germany with their daughter, Nike, who just entered kindergarten.
