  • Reshma 18:55, 17 September 2007 (EDT): It would be useful to know how long the permeabilization, substrate and stop solutions keep. Presumably, since the permeabilization and substrate solutions each contains β-mercaptoethanol, they need to be made fresh each time?
    • Reshma 11:30, 15 October 2007 (CDT): The substrate solution is traditionally made fresh each day because solutions with ONPG only keep for a few days at 4°C.
