Start and End of Day Cycles

Autoclave START-UP Procedure

Press the square white STERIS icon on the control panel screen. It will then display the FLUSH GENERATOR screen – Press CANCEL.

This puts the machine into an automatic flush cycle of the jacket, and takes about 10 min. You will notice water going into the drain, and when that has pretty much stopped, it is done. The control panel will be on MAIN MENU - (screen 1, upper right corner.)

Run the DART WARMUP Cycle Choose CYCLE SELECT. Choose TEST CYCLES . (screen 2) Choose DART WARMUP. (screen 3)

This cycle will run automatically for about 12-15 min. At the end of the cycle, the autoclave will beep, and the control panel will instruct you to open the autoclave door.

The autoclave is ready for regular cycles.


Autoclave STANDBY procedure

At the end of the day, the autoclave needs to be put into the stand-by mode From the MAIN MENU choose OPTIONS. Choose NEXT. (screen 13) Choose STANDBY. (screen 87)



GRAVITY and LIQUID CYCLES FOR THE AUTOCLAVE

GRAVITY CYCLES

Choose CYCLE SELECT. Choose either GRAVITY (2) or TIPS (5.) Choose CYCLE START.

The autoclave will run automatically, and beep for about a min when finished.

LIQUID CYCLES

Choose CYCLE SELECT. Choose either LIQUID 30 (3) or LIQUID 45 (6.) Choose CYCLE START.

The autoclave will run automatically, and beep for about a min when finished.

CAUTION! Loosen the tops of all bottles before autoclaving! CAREFULLY remove bottles and let cool a bit before tightening lids.

There must be a good amount of water in the bottom of the autoclave tub for all Liquid Cycles. For working sol'ns, use DISTILLED water, not tap water. Use LIQUID 500 ml for sterilizing double-bagged waste.

LIQUID 250 (3) runs for 30 min. LIQUID 1000 (6) runs for 45 min. LIQUID 500 Runs for 40 Min.
