Purpose

  • Proteinase K is used to degrade proteins in DNA purification or ChIP-Chip experiments.

Procurement

Use

  • Usual stock solution is 20mg/ml in for example TBS
    • Stock solution can be stored at -20°C
  • Optimal temperature is 50 to 55 °C
  • Can be denatured at 95 °C for 10 min
  • The recommended working concentration for Proteinase K is 0.05-1 mg/ml.
