*Currently, publication in peer-reviewed literature is the only reliable way to access such information, or being in a lab with the current area of expertise. Searching for such information is not only hard, but often unavailable.  PubMed is an information resource that is often used to find information. Two things are lacking:

**Because of limitation of space, time, and necessity… the ability to faithfully reproduce such experiments is lacking.

**The ability to search and find information on a particular piece of information is also very difficult.
====Proposal====
*Some communities have been able to harness information for tight knit communitiesFor example C. elegansThis works when community is very centralized; everybody knows each otherNot many communities have the centralization, resources, tech savvy to be able to pull something like that off. In addition, Information must be very structured.  Still miss out on other many other sets of data.  Not very extendable on the fly.
