What is NIF? A dynamic inventory of Web-based neuroscience resources: data, materials, and tools accessible via any computer connected to the Internet. An initiative of the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research, the Neuroscience Information Framework advances neuroscience research by enabling discovery and access to public research data and tools worldwide through an open source, networked environment.
Things that we have include: 75+ databases (big and small) relevant to neuroscience Registry of all things science on the web (mainly what has NIH funded), currently over 3700 projects represented NIFSTD: an ontology (fancy list) of all terms relevant to neuroscience, helpful to search literature for all synonyms of common diseases such as paralysis agitans ... do you know that this is an archaic term for Parkinson's disease?
