  1. Get 200 mL of 4% agar.
  2. Microwave agar.
  3. From kitchen, get 2x SD 200 mL (synthetic dropout – nitrogen/vitamins/minerals).
  4. Add liquid ingredients in SD flask.
  5. Add 40 mL 10x CSM (minus stuff) – you are diluting it to 1x. These are the amino acids.
  6. Add dextrose. It’s at 40%, you need to add 20 mL to make a 2% solution in 400 mL.
  7. Pour stuff from SD flask in to agar jar, then pour plates.
