Major Biomedical Engineering, Track 2: Cellular and Biomolecular Engineering

Class 2008 (probably 2009), 2nd-year undergraduate.

Research I recently received a fellowship for my undergraduate research project to develop an assay for detection of vasculature in 3D matrices. I am interested in exploring PDGF-BB in MSCs.

Hobbies/Interests Aside from spending hours in the BME lab doing research/experiments, teaching Yoga and Pilates at the gym, and learning in school, I try to find time to read chick-flick novels while on the elliptical/stationary bike, and master the art of Karaoke Revolution on expert level. That is really all I have time to do during the semester.

During the summer I find myself becoming a more productive citizen. Summer 2005, I worked under Drew Endy at MIT where I participated in the iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) competition on the MIT team, where we built a biological sensor. Next summer, 2006, I will co-op at Codon Devices, Inc., a start-up company in Cambridge, MA from the summer till Fall 2006. I am obviously in love with Boston.
