What we take away -What we learned -Lab techniques: pcr, digestion, microscopy (fluorescence), recombinant dna techniques -Teamwork: making decisions as a team have efficient meetings (stay on topic, be concise but comprehensive) divide work, have regular team “update” meetings importance of communication among members and with advisors diversity of majors teaches us how to understand and work w/different ppl -Synthetic biology how to apply engineering concepts to a very complex, living organism advantages: utilize reproductive systems
