Objective

  • Complete Synthesis
  • Start analysis

Synthesis

  • 20mM sodium sulfide: Synthesis of this solution was NOT accurate. The Na2S was not properly stored and a lot of moisture entered the bottle. More Na2S was ordered but in the meantime an overestimate of about 50% was made in order to account for the mass of all the hydrate. In order to determine the exact amount of Na2S vials were filled and placed to dry so that relative amount of hydrate could be accounted for and the exact molarity of the Na2S could be calculated.

Protocol

  1. Add 20mM Na2S and let stir for 15 mins
