Postdoctoral Position We invite applications for a postdoctoral position to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cancer susceptibility focusing on the proteins in the Fanconi anemia/breast cancer susceptibility pathway. Research directions include mature projects utilizing Xenopus egg extracts and cell-based assays to analyze the function of Fanconi proteins, and proteomic approaches to identify novel Fanconi/BRCA proteins. Candidates with strong core skills in molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Specific expertise and interests in DNA Replication, DNA Damage Response, and biochemical assays in Xenopus extracts would be ideal. Our laboratory actively participates in international collaborations to contribute to discovery and translational research. Candidates should be highly motivated and interested in working as a member of a research team. We are located in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. We play an active role in the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and the newly-formed Cancer Biology graduate program. Negotiable start date but ideal start will be Fall 2009. Interested?
