ran experiment:
 
2ml receiver cultures into 2ml tubes. resuspended in 1ml sender supernatant. had a bunch of controls.
 
All wells have high reads. Resuspended the cultures in water to see if LB was giving high reads. Still had high reads for all wells. (Later discovered E coli fluoresce at the same excitation as CFP).
