QS induction from a QS OFF state

Using Becky's PAO1 Pprobe-(X QS gene) strains with gent resistance

QS is OFF when OD is below 0.2 (Becky has used from 0.05-0.2)

To ensure there are usable cells the day you want to start the experiement:

- From an LB gm plate with experimental strain, inoculate into 3 mL LB+gm+MOPs

- Make a series of dilutions, one of which should be at the right OD to set up:

-1:100

-1:10

-1:2

-1:2

-1:2

Shake overnight at 37°C

If using wt PAO1, add an extra 1:100 dilution?
