Colleen is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Microbiology in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The Environmental Microbiology group explores the abiotic and biotic interactions that are responsible for the cycling, fate, and transport of metals in the environment. This research is interdisciplinary involving molecular geochemical, mineralogical and microbiology techniques. For more info, see the lab website at [1]

I'm looking forward to a fun, exciting summer exploring the world of synthetic biology with the iGEM team.
