Welcome to Simon Chan's Lab We study chromosome inheritance using the small plant Arabidopsis thaliana.

Haploid plants (represented by the pink pots) have only one copy of each chromosome, and are tremendously useful in plant breeding. We have produced haploids by manipulating centromeres.
