Entry title

This is the DIC Page!

Aims and Background (i) Develop a field-portable system capable of extended, unattended, in situ, sub-hourly, logged measurements of DIC concentration and ambient pCO2 in river water. (ii) Deploy two such instruments in high and low gradient tropical streams for which information is available on terrestrial carbon cycle dynamics, in order to develop a more holistic understanding of the linkages between the terrestrial (soil/plant) and fluvial systems (iii) Test the hypothesis that relative changes in net ecosystem production can be inferred from logged records of DIC in steep terranes where eddy covariance techniques cannot be used
