Outreach

In order to communicate our findings about nanotechnology and the possibilities of DIY nanocomputing with a wider audience, and to receive feedback, we employed three outreach techniques.

COMIC BOOK

We created a comic book using imagery and metaphors from the movie Sholay directed by Ramesh Shippy, one of the most popular Bollywood movies of all time. This comic book explains some of the ideas and processes we learned about in our research into nanotechnology, the history of computing and Biomolecular Design.

FILM FESTIVAL

We held a film festival for high school students in Bangalore where we screened David Cronenberg's Shivers (aka They Came from Within),The FLY and Fantastic Voyage and shared some of our preliminary research.
