In this project, the cell signaling pathways that underlie liver regeneration are studied using a mass spectrometry-based phosphoproteomic approach. A systems-level understanding of these pathways will be utilized to engineer an in vitro model of liver regeneration using a 3D liver bioreactor subjected to various regeneration-associated biomolecular and biophysical cues.
