Visual Stimulus

The current screen is a Philips/In Vivo ESys system. Measurements TBD.

Auditory Stimulus

Auditory insert headphones are used. To protect hearing, muffler type hearing protectors are used over top. These are 3M Optime 95 H6A/V Peltor that provide 33.5 dB attentuation at 1000 Hz (the approximate freq peak of the EPI sound). Also available are Sperian Howard Leight Leightning LOF mufflers that have a thinner profile but only 27.2 dB at 1000 Hz.

Projector

The current projector is a Canon LV-7295 2600 Lumens XGA projector purchased for $369.95 from B&H Photo on 7/26/2012. The projector was purchased using the ProjectorCentral website to find projectors with the correct zoom. At UCLA, they use an Optoma PK201 and a Gefen DVI F5 500 to convert to fiber optic.

The cost for this is $1K for device, $500 for cables.

Screen Size

The screen was built by Tony Ro and MSB in 2005. The screen size is 43" wide by 36" high (diagonal ~60"). The distance from the projector to the screen is approx 330 cm (this might be the distance between the two screen positions). It is about 26" from the front whell of screen to the scanner. A typical image is 25"W x 30"H. It is about 80" eyes to screen (maybe more like 105").

Mirror

The part # for the back projection mirror is 4535 302 89171
