The hypothesis that LSP treatment increases inflamation protiens was proven correct when the experiement was done on human subjects and after a certian milligram doseage. The first two groups of elderly (given 0mg and 5mg) showed no or little change. Subjects from group three and four (given 10mg and 15mg) showed significant changes in an increased inflamation protiens.
Compared to experiment two with the rates (group one given 0mg and group tow given 10mg), the T-test proved to have little or no significant changes in there inflmation protein count.
In conclusion, human subjects showed an increase of inflamation protiens after given a dosage of LSP of 10mg or higher. While the controlled rat subjects showed little increased inflamation protiens when given 10mg of LSP.

LAB 2 WRITE-UP

Descriptive Statistics

Experiment 1
The first experiment was of retired people (humans) of age range 60 to 82 years for a total of 40 people. The participants were divided randomly into four groups of ten; each group was given a differing dosage of LPS (Group 1 received 0 mg/ Group 2 received 5 mg/Group 3 received 10 mg/Group 4 received 15 mg). The amount of Inflammotin (pg/ml) was recorded after taking the medicine.

Experiment 2
The second experiment was of ten lab rats broken up into two groups of five rats, where the rats were given one of two possible doses of LPS. Group 1 received 0 mg and Group 2 received 10 mg.

Results

Experiment 1
Since the Human experiment used six different comparisons, the ANOVA test was used.

Experiment 2
A T-Test was used for the rat experiment due to only two comparisons being made.

Analysis

Experiment 1
Since the data's t-test value is smaller than the corrected p-value (0.008333) for the post-hoc test, the values are significant.

Experiment 2
The result for the T-Test was 0.8674035, and when comparing the value to ANOVA value of 0.05, there is no significance observed due to the value being larger.
