Summary/DiscussionFor a study in rats, a t-test was performed to determine the significance of the data found in the experiment. With the results from the t-test, it was concluded that there was no significant difference in rats who received 0 mg of LPS and 10 mg of LPS. Inflammotin levels were not affected. For the study in humans, an ANOVA was performed and a corrected p-value was used to ensure that all results were accurate. T-tests between each group were also performed to determine the significance of different levels of LPS dosage. The results of the ANOVA and the t-tests showed that in humans, LPS dosage increases inflammotin production with increasing dosage.
