Week 9 Journal
Part One
These are the number of genes that fall into each significance level for each time period. T15 P<0.05 - 781 P<0.01 - 218 P< 0.001 - 21 P<0.0001 - 1
T30 P<0.05 - 1539 P<0.01 - 456 P< 0.001 - 55 P<0.0001 - 2
T60 P<0.05 - 1559 P<0.01 - 384 P< 0.001 - 51 P<0.0001 - 6
T90 P<0.05 - 538 P<0.01 - 129 P< 0.001 - 9 P<0.0001 - 1
T120 P<0.05 - 564 P<0.01 - 114 P< 0.001 - 16 P<0.0001 - 5
Part Two
These are the number of genes that fall under a p<0.05 significance threshold with the Bonferroni correction.
T15: 1 value T30: 0 T60: 2 T90: 1 T120: 0
Part 3
These are the average log folds with significance p<0.05. T15 Greater than zero: 437 Less than zero: 771 Greater than .25: 402 Less than -.25: 256
T30 Greater than zero: 713 Less than zero: 826 Greater than .25: 673 Less than -.25: 770
T60 Greater than zero: 760 Less than zero: 799 Greater than .25: 727 Less than -.25 : 745
T90 Greater than zero: 319 Less than zero: 219 Greater than .25: 277 Less than -.25: 194
T120 Greater than zero: 332 Less than zero: 232 Greater than .25: 245 Less than -.25: 170
Part 4
This is the data for the gene NSR1.
Average at time 15: 1.2 P value: 0.0046
Average at time 30: 1.98 P value: 0.0180
Average at time 60: 1.96 P value: 0.0151
Average at time 90: -0.75 P value: 0.0676
Average at time 120: -0.63 P value: 0.1601 There were significant changes at time 15,30, and 60 for a significance threshold of p<0.05.
Part 5
The gene with the smallest p value is YPR059C with p=4.73816675697583E-06. Unfortunately in the database little to nothing is known about this gene. The only information available was that it most likely does not code for a protein.
