We're interested in genetics. We want to know how climate change is shaping plant's evolution on resistance traits. My lab undertakes a research approach that looks for naturally existing genetic variation which confers biotic and abiotic stress resistance phenotypes, and how these interact with the environment. We combine the genetics of natural variation, population genetic studies and functional molecular biology to understand the natural evolution of stress tolerance driven by environmental interactions.<br> | |||

What are we interested in?
We're interested in genetics. We want to know how climate change is shaping plant's evolution on resistance traits. My lab undertakes a research approach that looks for naturally existing genetic variation which confers biotic and abiotic stress resistance phenotypes, and how these interact with the environment. We combine the genetics of natural variation, population genetic studies and functional molecular biology to understand the natural evolution of stress tolerance driven by environmental interactions.
