Ours is a new lab starting in Dec 2012 interested in the genetic basis of plant-environment interactions. We're particularly focused in abiotic and biotic stress and their interactions.

Genetics & Evolution of Plant-Environment Interactions



Current activities

Scientific interests. We're interested in genetics of natural variation, population genetics and molecular biology. We're currently studying immune-receptor gene variation and the effect of temperature on modulation of defense in frame of the project DISEASENVIRON (Career Integration Grant, Marie-Curie Actions, EU).

Applied research. Our lab collaborates with the group of Prof. A.F. Tiburcio to study polyamine homeostasis in plants and its practical applications for inducing stress tolerance against abiotic stresses.
