Project Description

  • Describe your project in form of a proposal: what do you propose to do? Why? How?
  • Explain your experimental design here.
  • List all the steps that are needed to complete your project
  • Do not go into experimental details and don't list procedures. Just list the major steps necessary to complete your project
  • Please also make yourself familiar with uploading pictures and *.ppt files

Starting your team journal

Once your project proposal and experimental layout have been completed and approved by the instructor, you can start your lab work. Please do not forget to write a journal entry for EVERY lab! Just click on the specific date of your lab in the above calendar and a page will open that allows you to summarize the lab for that date. I would suggest that you rotate responsibilities for writing the journal. But be sure that you sit together after each lab to summarize everyone's work during that lab so that the assigned writer knows what to write. Feel free to edit it if you think something was missing or incorrect. You should always include pictures of all results you obtained during that session. This section should be deleted from this page once you started your journal. You can start your journal even on the first day of class after your team has been assembled.

Need to Know

  • list issues relevant to your project that you (as a team) need to look up
  • For example: "need to look up biobricks part specifications ..."
  • The "Need to Know list" should go into your journal and be deleted from this page once you started your journal. You can start your journal even on the first day of class after your team has been assembled.
