* DNA was tested for using gel electrophoresis, 5 samples were tested, both digested and undigested for a total of 10 wells used. The results of the gel suggested that the DNA may have been diluted too far, and thus created very weak bands in the gel. Two bands were visible, in lanes 7 and 11. Lane 7 showed the best band, which was sample 2 that was digested. This sample was chosen for use in PCR, because it was digested and had a visible band, we knew that it was digestible. Next week, we will check the results of the PCR.

Gel Electrophoresis Results and PCR Set Up

  • DNA was tested for using gel electrophoresis, 5 samples were tested, both digested and undigested for a total of 10 wells used.
