Advance Preparation

Recall that by conscientiously working in the lab, you have been preparing for the lab certifications all along. Nevertheless if you want to "get ready" for the lab certifications, review your lab notes and notebooks. Use the wiki to clarify what seems cryptic. You will have your notes, notebooks and calculators but not your computers during the lab certifications.

On the day of the first lab certification

  • This certification will take place during the first hour of lab on M1D1, 9.11.12 or 9.12.12.
  • You will have the print-out of the lab tour to work with but not the computers.
  • You will have to show your work for any calculations you perform, though you can use a calculator for computation.
  • You and your lab partner can work together on the questions but you should turn in answers individually.
  • This lab certification is worth 2% of your final grade.

On the day of the second lab certification
